Microsoft recently shared an update roadmap of their business products including Dynamics 365 for sales app. This upcoming update will cover major cloud functionalities and it will roll out between this Octobers to March of the 2019. In this post, we will know more about the upcoming features of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for sales app. Before getting started, note that the features and functions are based on pre-release notes and may change in the original updates.
Unified Client Interface:
Unified Client Interface (UCI) was first introduced in Dynamics 365 for sales v9. UCI uses responsive design for any browser or screen sizes to provide a uniform user interface. The upcoming update will deploy UCI by default in Dynamics 365 for sales app which will be the only option when creating app module.
Unlike v9 users, UCI will not be hidden behind the curtain. Because there will be no gaps in legacy functions between the older version to upcoming Dynamics 365.
At organization level, admins will be able to enable or disable functions within the UCI that include: bulk edits, merge records, advanced find, etc.
Microsoft Teams Integration:
This new functionality of Dynamics 365 will enable any record to stay connected to a team channel. Even if a Team member is not a Dynamics 365 uses, this feature will help him to access the records done on Dynamics 365 for sales. It will help everyone working with more of a collaboration no matter wherever they work.
Teams function will be accessible from Dynamics 365 user interface and in turn Dynamics 365 features will be accessible from Teams interface based on the control settings.
In shorts, by adding the Teams function, Microsoft is planning to introduce a new control enabling channel to be automatically created from Dynamics 365 opportunity.
LinkedIn Integration:
LinkedIn Integration is one of many new functionalities of upcoming Dynamics 365 for sale. This integration will contain additional LinkedIn sales Navigator controls, and for the first time, these controls will be customizable using UCI.
The Navigator controls can be configured to show insights from LinkedIn about similar organizations, individuals, and recommendations to target the interested audience.
With this feature, Microsoft plans to capture LinkedIn PointDrive interactions for relationship analysis to improve the overall relationship health score.
New AI for Sales app:
A new dedicated AI will be added to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for sales which will allow users to help managers assess performance across their team and take right decisions to be more productive.
This pre-built AI based homepage of Dynamics 365 for sales app is designed to quickly answer sales management questions by highlighting upcoming events and suggesting the most suited action that can be taken.
